They Lost = Not Perfect

SOMETHING TO CONSIDER!

Changes? That is the final thing that comes to mind when thinking about the Cleveland Cavaliers who won a career high of 66-games. Yeah they are good, but something is obviously wrong because they did not win the championship. They got far but not far enough, the Magic exposed and tore them up in 6-games. In order to avoid this, what do they need to do to improve in order to be successful?

The Cavs need a two and three man badly! Mo Williams is the 2-man in the regular season, but he is horrible in the postseason, perhaps he is not an experienced playoff player, but next year he needs to be able to bring it for the team shooting at least 43-percent all year around. Everyone else is good, like Delonte, he is a great player, but he needs to work on his interior offense and getting to the free throw line.

West will shoot horrible and continue to shoot. He NEEDS the basketball IQ to know when to drive and when to shoot 3-point ball.

Andy Varejao needs to hit the gym. He is a very improved player but he is weak at the 4 position and mismatches are usually created because of his lack of strength. Also he does not have more than 7-attempts of field goals per-game. He HAS to open his role as a scorer in order to improves the team's starting 5 line-up.

RETIREMENTS!

Z! It has been an honor having you and you been with the team for a very long time, but enough is ENOUGH! Z is an okay player, but a great center has at least 8 rebounds per game. Z lacks strength in the post and does not have the speed. At 7"3 he should be having 3 blocks per game the lowest. Z is 34 and he is slowing down, his leg injuries are catching up with him. He has been with the team for long and has gotten close to championships, but now he is not that much of a factor. His low-post game is weak, and he is more of a 7-th man. New Center or no CHAMPIONSHIP! I'm sorry.

Ben Wallace! You said it yourself, that you wake up in pain some mornings and other times your fine. You have a championship and was defensive player of the NBA 4-times. You been there and done that! After this year's injury your time was done! You lost your starting position and you need to retire to give the Cavs money to sign a more young and injury free player. Your prime is done and right now your career is to! Has been a pleasure but enough is ENOUGH! We are championship contenders here!

Wally Z! Below average and very inconsistent. Some days you want to have 3-pointers and other days you want to have 30-percent field goal! Not cutting it. The team needs great defenders and with a series of leg injuries, it is impossible for you to move your feet. Um with that being said your stats prove it. Retire it would only help the team!

TRADES!

Good bye Sasha and Boobie Gibson! Both of these players were starters at one point. The Cavs got many new players and they ran to the bench! Their minutes have been cut in half and so have the statistics. Sasha and Boobie have lost their offensive touches. Sasha has the drive and Boobie has the shot. Both players do not play consistently. Gibson cannot have 4-three pointers in every game and Sasha cannot give 9 points in every game. Consistency wins a championship in 4 games. Inconsistency losses in 6 games. Memorable times but we need real championship contenders!

PEOPLE WE CAN GAIN OFF TRADES!

My eye has been on Chris Bosh. Good player. Without questioning if he comes to the Cavs he will start over Z. Bosh is fast has blocking abilities and is an excellent inside defender. Everything that Z lacks! LeBron and Bosh have mentioned that they play well together so I hope this trade happens soon .

Yao Ming will also be a good addition to the Cavs. Sources have mentioned that Cleveland Cavaliers and China are business partners and Yao might have a place on the Cavs in the future. If he gets healthy and remains injury free Yao will certainly fit perfect on the team. Yao Ming, Bosh, LeBron and 3-point shooting Mo? I already see an NBA finals team.

MOREOVER.

Big men are all the Cavs need so that they can replace Z. They lack interior defensive strength and the Magic made it WAY TO obvious. If Z decides to stay his place as a starter should be over! Guards? The Cavs have more than enough ball controllers and LeBron sometimes covers that position so where do they go wrong with that? Varejao can stay but needs to work! Z has to get replaced. J.J Hickson was also one of my favorites. I hope he heals soon so he can get back on that fast-break finishing with dunks (the usual). Hickson was a good contribution to the team also. He could have been useful in the Cavs-Mag series - Don't you think?

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM THE BENCH?

The argument was always that the Cavs' bench is weak! The players lack minutes because Brown only wants to play them when the team is blowing out. If he rotates the bench players with the stars then it can give them experience. He can even start them on some occasions just to give them enough experience for the postseason.

What can we expect from Darnell Jackson? The rookie has been treated like he is the worst rookie in the world. He barley touched the floor in the postseason. He stands at 6"9 he is a big-man. But he does not get much play time at all. He needs his minutes. A lot of people do not get many minutes on the Cavs like Joe Smith also. During the regular season if they get the experience they can also get the offensive and defensive IQ to be an asset in the playoffs. Mike Brown stop robbing minutes from good bench players give them the experience!

Mike Brown? What's the results of his Job as Head Coach? If Mike cannot find the courage to trust his team and play the bench he needs to leave right now! Every name should be added to the rotation, it should not depend on a blow out. Either you trust your players or you don't. He also needs to be more passionate and get into the game, start yelling at the players and motivating them. If you don't who will? LeBron? Yeah but something is wrong. HE'S NOT THE COACH!

If the Cavaliers make the changes that I mentioned I Guarantee they will win the Championship (My guarantee won't flop like Mo's). Next year I hope to see them go undefeated at the Quicken Loans arena. I will love to see someone else average 25-points on the team. Well, it's a long off season and changes need to be made. If you thought this season was great, wait until next year.
